| The current Mt. Pleasant High School dedicated in 2000 and built over the site of the 1957 version of the high school demolished after 1999. Home of the MPHS Oilers. | When the current Mt. Pleasant High School was dedicated a time capsule from the previous 1957 High School was opened. In it were news clippings with headlines noting how difficult it was to get the 1957 school built, taking four elections before it was approved. That was the building where the Class of 1959 spent its last two high school years.
