Larry Stinson, Class of 1958, was the new Student Council President when the new 1957 High School opened.  The 1957 Derrick yearbook said he was "shown here in front of the million dollar school" and "will have his hands full re-organizing the (student) governmental body on a three-grade basis."  This view shows the high school in its final months of construction during 1957 before the fall opening.
