| John Rosevear After high school, John started college at Central Michigan University for a short period of time. Then in February of 1960 he joined the Navy. After boot camp at Great Lakes he went to Key West Florida to the Fleet Sonar School. Rosevear was there about a year and then went to Charleston, SC, Navy yard where he joined the crew of the USS Stribling DD867. After they got out of the shipyard and several trips to Cuba, John was transferred to the destroyer Samuel B. Roberts DD 823, which was in the Navy yards in Philadelphia. Following several months in the yards there Rosevear’s ship was home ported in Newport, RI. For the next 2 plus years his ship steamed all over, from the Caribbean to Newfoundland and every port in between. He went to the Mediterranean Sea and through the Suez Canal into the Red Sea, and ultimately to Karachi, Pakistan. John and his crew were in Karachi when President Kennedy was assassinated. |

John is an assistant vice president with Citizens Bank of Rhode Island. The parent company of Citizens Bank is Citizens Financial Group, Inc., a $30 billion financial services company headquartered in Providence, Rhode Island. |

| After the Navy, Rosevear returned to CMU with his wife, Ellie, where they lived in married housing for three years. Then they moved to Rhode Island. It was in that year that John started working in banks. And he has been since that time with a few years working for banking regulators such as RTC and FDIC. John’s wife Ellie is a registered nurse who works in a private doctor’s office. They have two children and both are married. Their son John Jr. is the father of three boys, the twins Andy and Ian, and their younger brother, Colton. John Jr. and his wife Diana live in Acton, MA, just northwest of Boston. John and Ellie's daughter Suzanne and her husband Wayne live in Bloomington, IN, where they are in law school at the University of Indiana. Suzanne will be graduating in May of this year and Wayne graduates next year. John and his wife Ellie will be celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary this year (2004). Rosevear is currently an Assistant Vice President at Citizens Financial Group, wholly owned by the Royal Bank of Scotland which is expanding rapidly. Ellie and John have traveled extensively and look forward to more. Their home is in Barrington, RI, which is on the East side of Narragansett Bay and half way between Providence and Newport. |
